Why do foreign mail order brides more attractive to men and not women?

I have a theory that is because most men not attracted by money or status in women, I just want someone who is happy, attractive and realistic. Women turn men want earn at least equal but preferably more money and they can increase their level of life. The mail-order husband will probably be much poorer than they and can not provide any material or financially.

Everyone has some good answers, but also a lot of men are non-western countries filled with the kind of old school macho attitude that women most Americans can not bear. In much of the world beating your wife is still socially acceptable. In fact, one reason why even very successful women in some countries want to marry men of the U.S. or the EU is that we have a great reputation from what we've seen on film and television. Hollywood films are few to beat your wife as a positive good and most of the heroes are willing to do backflips for the child.
